Julio Jimenez was born on October 28, 1934.

The Spanish rider won three consecutive Mountains Jerseys in both the Tour de France and in the Vuelta a Espana.

He also stood on the podium another time at the Tour de France.

Jimenez won three consecutive Mountains Jerseys in the Tour de France, in 1965, 1966, and 1967.

Jimenez also won three consecutive Mountains Jerseys in the Vuelta a Espana, in 1963, 1964, and 1965.

In addition, Jimenez was 2nd in the 1967 Tour de France behind Roger Pingeon of France.
