Michele Dancelli was born on May 8, 1942.The Italian rider twice stood on the podium of the World Championship Road Race.
He also won one of the five monuments in cycling.
In addition, he won another one-day classic.
Dancelli was 3rd in the 1968 World Championship Road Race behind Vittorio Adorni of Italy and Herman Van Springel of Belgium.
Dancelli was also 3rd in the 1969 World Championship Road Race behind Harm Ottenbros of Holland and Julien Stevens of Belgium.
Dancelli won the Milan-San Remo Classic in 1970.
He also won the Fleche Wallone Classic in 1966.
