Julien Vervaecke was born on November 3, 1899. He died in May of 1940.

The Belgian rider stood on the podium of the Tour de France.

He also stood on the top two podium steps of the Paris-Roubaix Classic.

Vervaecke was 3rd in the 1927 Tour de France behind Nicholas Frantz of Luxembourg and Maurice DeWaele of Belgium.

Vervaecke also won the 1930 Paris-Roubaix Classic in front of Jean Marechal of France and Antonin Magne of France.

In addition, Vervaecke was 2nd in the 1933 Paris-Roubaix behind Sylvere Maes of Belgium.
