The British rider won a Grand Tour event and twice stood on the podium in the Grand Tours.

Wiggins won the 2012 Tour de France in front of Christopher Froome of Great Britain and Vincenzo Nibali of Italy.

Wiggins was also 3rd in the 2011 Vuelta a Espana behind Juan-Jose Cobo of Spain and Christopher Froome of Great Britian.

In addition, Wiggins was 3rd in the 2009 Tour de France behind Alberto Contador of Spain and Andy Schleck of Luxembourg.
