Roger De Vlaeminck is a Belgian cyclist who used to race professionally on the road and in cyclocross. He was born on August 24, 1947, in Eeklo, Belgium. In 1969, De Vlaeminck started riding for professional teams like Flandria, Brooklyn, TI-Raleigh, San Giacomo, and Boule d’Or.

Van Vlaeminck is best known for his work in cobblestone classics like the Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix. He won the Tour of Flanders three times and the Paris-Roubaix four times (1972, 1974, 1975, and 1977). (1977, 1978, and 1979). He was known for his aggressive riding style and his ability to handle the rough terrain of the cobbled classics.
