Van Vlaeminck is best known for his work in cobblestone classics like the Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix. He won the Tour of Flanders three times and the Paris-Roubaix four times (1972, 1974, 1975, and 1977). (1977, 1978, and 1979).
