Firmin Lambot was a professional Belgian road race cyclist. Born in Florennes, Belgium on March 14, 1886, he enjoyed a prosperous career in the 1910s and 1920s. Lambot was renowned for his climbing abilities and stage race performances.

In 1908, Lambot began his professional cycling career and went on to win multiple big races. In 1919 and 1922, he became the very first Belgian cyclist to win the Tour de France. In addition to winning the Giro d’Italia in 1922, Lambot also won several other significant events during his career.

Lambot was well-known off the bike for his love of hunting and his devotion to his family. In 1964, he passed away at the age of 77 after a long and fruitful life.

Firmin Lambot’s reputation as a cyclist is noted for his triumph in the Tour de France and his contribution to cycling’s popularity in Belgium. 1976 saw his induction into the Belgian Sports Hall of Fame.
