Cadel Evans was born on February 14, 1977.

The Australian rider stood on each podium step in the Grand Tour events.

He also won the World Championship Road Race, and won the one-day classics.

Evans won the 2011 Tour de France in front of brothers Andy Schleck and Frank Schleck of Luxembourg.

Evans was 2nd in the 2007 Tour de France behind Alberto Contador of Spain.

He was also 2nd in the 2008 Tour de France behind Carlos Sastre of Spain.

Evans was 3rd in the 2009 Vuelta a Espana behind Alejandro Valverde of Spain and Samuel Sanchez of Spain.


Evans was also 3rd in the 2013 Giro d'Italia behind Vincenzo Nibali of Italy and Rigoberto Uran of Colombia.

Evans also won the Points jersey in the 2010 Giro d'Italia.

Evans won the 2009 World Championship Road Race in front of Alexander Kolobnev of Russia and Joaquin Rodriguez of Spain.

Evans was also 5th in the 2007 World Championship Road Race behind Paolo Bettini of Italy, Alexander Kolobnev of Russia, Stefan Schumacher of Germany, and Frank Schleck of Luxembourg.

In addition, Evans won the Fleche Wallonne Classic in 2010.
