Nibali is a versatile cyclist who excels in mountain and time trial stages. In his career, he has won four Grand Tours, including the Tour de France (2014), the Giro d’Italia (2013) and (2016), and the Vuelta a España (2010). In addition, he has won Tirreno-Adriatico, Milano-Sanremo, and Il Lombardia twice, as well as Strade Bianche.

The nickname “The Shark of Messina” refers to Nibali’s aggressive riding style and Sicilian hometown.
